The AI Deception; Ethics vs Unchecked Power

The AI Landscape has split in two. On one side the “Ethical Purists”like Dario Amodei ( Anthropic ) And Ilya Sutskaver ( Safe Superintelligence ) who fled the Tech Giants to persue real safety. On the other side, the “Profit Players” led by Sam Altman, who have shifted from scientific research to a high stake race for the next big product .
The divide is not just theoretical. It’s a Battle over our Security.
Anthropic was recently ousted from Pentagon contracts because it refused to compromise its Principles. Their “ Red Lines” were clear. No to mass surveillance and Mandatory Human in the loop for all Military AI applications. By sticking to these “Ethical Stakes”they were sidelined, only for OpenAI to step in , ready to provide the military industrial complex with the unchecked powers it demands.
At the core of this shift lies a sophisticated semantic deception : the restructuring of OpenAI into a Public Benefit Corporation.
A noble sounding title that masks a brutal reality: the removal of Profit caps and the creation of a Private machine fueled by billions from Microsoft and SoftBank.
We are witnessing the rise of Entities “ above the Law “:
Total lack of oversight: no Independent Authorities hold veto power over their decisions.
Zero Accountability: without strict regulations, there is no criminal or civil liability for the systemic damage caused by these algorithms.
The Future . A Handful of Private Corporations now control the technology rewriting our Economy and Democracy, operating in a regulatory vacuum that politicians have yet to challenge.
AI is no longer a scientific frontier: it is a geopolitical asset managed by the rules of the Wild West.
